In addition to the MiCRM service and backend, Softmobile has developed a low-cost mobile terminal for allowing businesses to capture and process customer data at any physical business location, e.g. shop, restaurant etc. As described under "Coupons", the terminal may be used to redeem mobile coupons as part of a mobile loyalty programs. The terminal is also used for registering and accounting for resource usage and time registration. The linux based terminal is built on high quality hardware units with GPRS data and touch screens, yet the cost of the terminal is less than 30% of the cost of that of the closest competitor.
